Standard City Rates

The current standard rates for all clients are set by the Municipal Licensing and Standards (Taxi Unit). As a regulated industry the rates are set by the regulator. Although we are a regulated industry; Maple Leaf Taxi can provide flat rates for parcels, regular destinations and out of town trips.

Goods and Services Tax Included in Fare
If meter is not on, the ride is free. By distance: One to four passengers
For the first .235 kilometer, or part thereof	$2.75
For each additional .235 kilometer, or part thereof	$0.25
For each additional passenger in excess of four	$0.25
For each thirty eight (38) seconds of waiting time while under engagement	$0.25
Baggage
Bags and cartons containing groceries, if loaded and unloaded by driver (per bag or carton)	$0.10
Hand baggage, if loaded and unloaded by driver (per bag)	$0.10
Maximum charge per load (per passenger)	$0.30
Brief cases and parcels of comparable size, if loaded or unloaded by passenger (limit of four per passenger)	no charge
Wheelchairs, including loading and unloading by driver	no charge
Charges for trunks and other items not covered by this tariff shall be agreed upon before commencement of trip.
For delivery of any parcel, document, or thing, where  no passenger is carried - minimum charge per trip	$10.00
Flat rate to airport available if arranged with driver prior to commencement of trip.
